About my buttons: All of my buttons are made by me using an oxygen propane torch and various colored glass rods. It is not painted. I use ancient cane building techniques to create images in glass. (For more information...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murrine.) Each image can take days to months to create. I imbed all of the shanks into the glass while it is in a molten state to ensure that it becomes a permanent attachment to the piece. No glue is involved. I do my best to ensure a timeless, quality, heirloom product. I do not recommend machine washing unless they are protected by button covers.
