About my work Each image is made by layering glass horizontally to create a log that when sliced vertically shows an image. The finished product is called a cane. The slices are Murrini or millefiori. They are ancient Italian glass techniques. Each image can take weeks to years to create. The piece is then sliced and layers with other glass to create a bead.
